Our Mission
Established on August 19, 2005, with the first meeting held on August 15, 2006, the goal of the Commission is to promote the inclusion of persons with disabilities in the daily activities, services, and employment opportunities within the community.
The Commission’s plan is to aide city officials in ensuring compliance with federal and state disability laws. The Commission will provide information and act as a referral service for individuals, businesses, and organizations on all matters pertaining to disability.

The Commission is urging residents of Fall River, families, and friends of individuals using wheelchairs to contact Senator Michael Rodrigues, Chair of the Senate Ways and Means Committee to report this bill out of his Committee and on to the floor for final passage.

The Scholarship Luncheon in which the Commission awarded 10 - $3,000.00 scholarships at McGovern’s Restaurant on Saturday, June 12, 2021.
